Visa to South Korea

To visit South Korea, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan must first obtain an entry permit. The visa must be issued at the consulate.

Citizens of Uzbekistan can open such visas to South Korea as:

  • Commercial visa – C-2 *
  • General short stay visa – C-3
  • Visitor visa – F-1
  • Extended Residence Permit – F-3
  • Visa for other purposes – type G-1
  • Tourist visa – H-1
  • Work visa – H-2

* To open a commercial entry permit, applicants submit documents confirming that the trip is for a commercial purpose. Such a document can be a contract of sale, etc.

General visa

This is a permit that is opened to create a marriage between a resident of Uzbekistan and a representative / representative of Korea. To open a permit, a package of documents is submitted:

  • Invitations from the host. In this case, all financial obligations should be assigned to the spouse
  • Information about marital status
  • Certificates of official marriage
  • Certificates confirming the payment of all tax fees by the host country

Visitor visa

To open this visa, a package of documents is submitted:

  • Documents confirming the degree of relationship. Such documents are birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc.
  • Identity document. This certificate is required if the applicant is to be adopted

Business visa

Provides for the submission of such additional documents:

  • Invitation letter from a legal entity
  • Labor contract. Required if the applicant intends to be employed in Korea for a period not exceeding 3 months.

Study visa

Documents required to enter Korea for the purpose of studying:

  • Certificate confirming that the applicant is one of the students or applicants of an educational institution in Korea
  • Document confirming the payment of all tax payments by the applicant

Tourist visa

To visit South Korea for tourism purposes, the following documents are submitted:

  • Tickets. You will need to provide tickets to and from Korea
  • Certificate confirming financial status
  • Detailed trip plan

Visa for treatment

If a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan wishes to obtain a visa to Korea for treatment, then the mandatory additional documents are:

  • Statement of diagnosis certified by the head physician
  • Invitation from the medical institution where the applicant's treatment is planned
  • A document confirming that the applicant has sufficient funds for treatment. The minimum amount to enter Korea is $ 3,000
  • Certificate from the place of official employment. The document must indicate the position held and salary

If a resident of the Republic of Uzbekistan temporarily resides or stays in the territory of another country, he can apply for a Korean visa in the city where he currently resides. But only those citizens who have official registration in the territory of another country and must have one of the following documents have such a right:

  • Work Permit
  • Temporary residence permit
  • Residence

The visa fee is:

  • For a single entry visa – $ 30
  • When opening a multiple-entry visa – $ 50

An application for a multiple entry permit to enter the territory of Korea is considered for about 3 weeks.

From 2023, South Korea will introduce new types of visas and improve the K-ETA entry permit system

To enter, you must obtain permission in a special K-ETA system. The K-ETA is valid for 2 years and allows multiple entries during the entire period of validity.

They promise to improve the system, as many tourists complain about the processing time or unreasonable refusals.

New types of visas to South Korea

  • K-culture visa. Visa for those who want to study Korean culture (k-pop), primarily aimed at young people from other countries
  • Workcation visa. Visa for "digital nomads" who work remotely. According to media reports, this visa will be introduced in the second half of this year.

Details of new visas, requirements for their recipients, validity periods are not available at the moment. However, tour operators believe the government's new plan will give foreign nationals more opportunities to legally study and work in Korea.
