The list of goods prohibited for import and export from the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan



In accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, some goods are prohibited from importing or exporting from the Republic of Uzbekistan.


The list of goods prohibited for import into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

  • Works of the press, manuscripts, cliches, drawings, photographs, photographic films, negatives, film, video and audio production, gramophone records, sound recordings aimed at undermining the state and social order, violation of territorial integrity, political independence and state sovereignty, at the propaganda of war, terrorism , violence, nationalism and religious hatred, racism and its varieties (anti-Semitism, fascism), as well as pornographic materials
  • Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors without the permission of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as devices for smoking opium and hashish
  • Rare and endangered species of animals, as well as wild species of medicinal, food and ornamental plants included in the Red Book, without the permission of the State Committee for Nature Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan
  • Jewelry made of precious metals and precious stones for commercial purposes without a license from the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan (the norm for the import of jewelry made of precious metals and stones by an individual, not subject to customs duties, is: 5 items with a total weight of no more than 30 grams)
  • Medicines and medical equipment without the permission of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan
  • Radio electronic means and high-frequency devices without the permission of the Center for Electromagnetic Compatibility of the Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan
  • Products of plant and animal origin without the permission of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan
  • Ozone-depleting substances and products containing them, without the permission of the State Committee for Nature Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan
  • Portable laser emitters
  • Explosives and explosives
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles

When customs clearance of goods imported by individuals and intended for commercial activities, mandatory registration of this person as an individual entrepreneur with the right to carry out export-import operations is required.

Importation into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan of weapons, ammunition; objects of flora and fauna; radio electronic means and high-frequency devices; cultural values (paintings, sculptures, products of traditional folk arts and crafts, etc.) are allowed with the appropriate permits from the authorized bodies and with the condition of their mandatory indication in the passenger customs declaration.


The list of goods prohibited for export from the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

  • Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors (except for cases provided by law)
  • Grain (wheat, rye, barley, oats, rice, corn, buckwheat)
  • Bakery products (flour confectionery, pies, except for homemade baked goods)
  • Flour, groats
  • Livestock, poultry, meat and edible meat offal, edible offal from poultry
  • Sugar
  • Vegetable fats
  • Raw hides (including non-standard)
  • Fur and fur raw materials, including astrakhan hides (including non-standard)
  • Scrap and waste of non-ferrous metals
  • Unwindable silkworm cocoons, raw silk (untwisted), silk waste (including unwindable cocoons, silk thread waste and softened waste)
  • Waste, cuttings and scrap (waste) from polyethylene terephthalate (PET)
  • Biological objects not subject to export from the Republic, according to the list established by law
  • Works of art and antiques (paintings, sculptures, drawings, watercolors, various types of engravings, miniatures, porcelain, crystal, ceramics, wood, leather, precious and non-precious stones and metals, bones, folk arts and crafts, tapestries, furniture, artistic clothing and footwear, numismatics, artistic weapons, books, manuscripts, gramophone records, musical instruments, postage stamps and others) and other items of significant artistic, scientific or other cultural value, without the permission of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, without coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations of the Republic Uzbekistan and payment of customs duty in the amount of 100% of the assessment specified in the export permit
  • Antlers of saigas, red deer, sika deer, red deer, as well as the skins of sika deer and other wild animals. (These items can be exported by specialized organizations under special permits from the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations in agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and the State Committee for Nature Protection, foreign tourists who have tours (vouchers) for hunting in the Republic of Uzbekistan as hunting trophies (ossified horns of red deer and marals), shot by them during the hunting period from September to December)
  • Nuclear materials (including materials in the form of fuel assemblies), technologies, equipment, installations, special non-nuclear materials – sources of ionizing radiation
  • Rocket and space complexes, communication and control systems, regulatory and technical documentation for their production and operation
  • Results of research and design work, as well as fundamental search research on the creation of weapons and military equipment
  • Canceled securities

Removal from the Republic of Uzbekistan of weapons, ammunition; objects of flora and fauna; radio electronic means and high-frequency devices; cultural values (paintings, sculptures, products of traditional folk arts and crafts, etc.) are allowed with the appropriate permits from the authorized bodies and with the condition of their mandatory indication in the passenger customs declaration.

It is allowed to import and export medicines in the amount of up to 10 medicines of various names and no more than 5 packages of medicines for each of them; medical products in the amount of no more than 5 units.

Moreover, one package should contain:

  • For solid (tablets, dragees, granules, powders, capsules) dosage forms – no more than 100 units
  • For powders used to prepare a solution – no more than 500 g
  • For homeopathic medicines in the form of granules – no more than 50 g
  • For infusion solutions and solutions taken orally – no more than 500 ml
  • Solutions for injection – no more than 10 ampoules or no more than 10 vials
  • For external drugs – no more than 200 ml or 200 g

Medicines and medical devices must be in the manufacturer's packaging.
