In connection with the emergence of the omicron strain, the German authorities have introduced new rules to the existing:

  • Passengers 6 years and older arriving in the country must present a negative COVID-19 test, proof of recovery, or a vaccination certificate before boarding.
  • An antigen test must be done no more than 48 hours before entering Germany, and a PCR test no more than 48 hours before departure.

Citizens are considered vaccinated if they completed their vaccination series more than 14 days ago with an EU approved vaccine. Approved vaccines:

  • Pfizer/BioNTech
  • Moderna
  • AstraZeneca
  • Johnson&Johnson

Citizens of Uzbekistan are not required to fill out a digital form on the website www.einreiseanmeldung.de and be in quarantine, since Germany has included Uzbekistan in the "other zones" (according to Uzbekistan Airways)

For violation of the rules, a fine of up to € 25,000 can be imposed.
