Unvaccinated against coronavirus tourists are allowed to visit the country

Recently, the entry rules have been relaxed. The main change is that tourists who are not vaccinated against the coronavirus are allowed to visit this East African country under certain conditions.

One of the following medical documents is required to enter Kenya:

• Certificate of vaccination against COVID-19 (last dose at least 14 days before arrival)
• PCR test in English, made no earlier than 72 hours before departure from the first landing point

Passengers under the age of 12 do not need any certificates.

There is also an option to fly without these documents and undergo a rapid antigen test at the airport of arrival, but it is better not to risk it and pass all the tests in the country of departure.

From December 28, 2021, entry for unvaccinated tourists is closed

All arrivals are now required to upload a vaccination certificate to globalhaven.org before travel, along with a PCR test no older than 72 hours.

In addition, you need to fill out an online application form and receive a QR code before departure.

Rules valid from 21 July 2021

PCR test requirements:

• PCR test must be in English
• PCR test should be done no earlier than 72 hours before departure (time is counted from the moment of taking the material)
• The PCR test result must be uploaded to the Trusted Travel Initiative
• Children under 5 years old – no test needed

COVID Covered Insurance:

• Not required, but it is better to arrange

Additional requirements:

• You need to fill out a special online form in advance and receive a QR code
• Passengers leaving the airport during curfew must keep their boarding pass as proof of arrival time in order to reach their accommodation
• Return ticket availability

Country restrictions:

• Mask mode works in public places
• There is a curfew from 22:00 to 04:00
• Restaurants are open until 22:00, bars – until 19:00
