Rules for entering Saudi Arabia


Entry approved by Sputnik V vaccinated

From January 1, 2022, immunized tourists will be able to enter the country.

Upon entry, they will have to undergo a 48-hour quarantine and pass a PCR test.


Saudi Arabia will open its borders to vaccinated touristsfrom August 1, 2021

Fully vaccinated foreigners will not need to undergo quarantine upon entering the country, according to the Kingdom's Ministry of Tourism.

Would need:

  • PCR test done in no more than 72 hours
  • Certificate of vaccination with one of the drugs approved in the country

The Saudi Arabian authorities recognize the following vaccines:

  • Moderna
  • Johnson&Johnson
  • AstraZeneca
  • Pfizer/BioNTech

Sinopharm and Sinovac are also recognized, provided that the tourist received an additional dose of one of the first four vaccines.

Foreigners will need to register their vaccination data on the electronic portal, as well as in the Tawakkalna application (it is mandatory for visiting public places).
