Consular protection. Labor dispute with a foreign employer

First of all, try to resolve the dispute through negotiations. Remember, solving any problems abroad requires more effort and resources than at home.

If it is not possible to resolve the dispute through negotiations, you have the right to file a claim with the local judicial authorities.

However, if you do not have permission to work abroad, if you do not have a contract with the employer or the subject of the dispute is not specified in the contract and is not clearly defined in the legislation of the host country, then no court will accept your claim.

If you have all the necessary documents and funds to participate in the trial, then you should hire a lawyer and file a lawsuit.

You have the right to apply to the consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan with a request to observe the actions of local authorities during the proceedings.
