How to eat on vacation

The upcoming vacation can be a good incentive to lose a couple of extra pounds or just lose a little weight. However, upon arriving at the place of rest, you find yourself in captivity of various temptations somehow: to try all sorts of goodies and lie in a sun lounger instead of swimming again. If you think wisely about eating on vacation, then you can come home even in better shape than you left.

* * *

1. Instead of going to fast food restaurants, buy healthy food in the store
Instead of grabbing a hamburger or fries on the way, go to the store and buy fruit, yogurt, cheese, and the like, depending on the store's assortment. Prefer plain clean water for sugary drinks.

2. Taste local delicacies in moderation
This applies primarily to high-calorie dishes and various desserts. Try one meal a day. All other meals may include vegetable salads with fish or meat, as well as soups. And all this in small portions. Also, eat the lowest-calorie foods first, they fill your stomach, and you'll eat fewer high-calorie foods.

3. When choosing a dish in a restaurant, look at what others are eating
First and foremost, it allows you to estimate the serving size offered by the restaurant, which usually exceeds the size that the average person can eat. After evaluating the situation, you will be able to order only the amount that you can eat. In addition, do not fall for promotions, such as "by ordering this dish, you will receive a T-shirt as a gift, ...", because it may be either too large a dish or not very healthy.

4. Recreational sports
In general, on vacation, you have more time for sports, since you do not go to work and do not do household chores. Therefore, you can devote at least 30 minutes a day to some section or lesson with a personal trainer. All this besides walking and swimming to accompany your holiday.

5. Just an active pastime
Be active all day. Start your morning with a walk on the beach, swimming. Continue to be active: cycling, playing volleyball, etc., depending on your destination. In doing so, do not forget to eat right. Take food with you for a snack. Explore the area for good food restaurants and cafes that are on your hiking trails.

6. Try to stick to the existing diet
If the difference in time zones is not large, then it is quite easy to keep track of the regularity of your meals. All you need to do is set an alarm clock in your phone, which will remind you of food on a regular basis. If the difference in time zones is large, then be guided by the fact that the difference in meals should be no more than 4 hours. Regularity of food will allow you not to overeat on vacation.
