Chapter XVI. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OFFENSES INCLUDING ON THE ESTABLISHED GOVERNANCE PROCEDURE

Article 223. Violation of the rules of the passport system

Residence of a citizen without a passport or with an invalid passport, without a permanent residence permit or without taking into account the place of stay, deliberate damage or careless storage of a passport, which entailed its loss, as well as residence of a foreign citizen and a stateless person who has a residence permit in the Republic of Uzbekistan, due to an invalid a residence permit, without a temporary or permanent registration, deliberate damage, careless storage of a residence permit, which entailed its loss, – entails the imposition of a fine from one second to three basic calculated values.

Committing the same offense, provided for in part one of this article, repeatedly within a year after the application of an administrative penalty, – shall entail the imposition of a fine in the amount of five basic calculated values.

The admission of persons responsible for compliance with the rules of the passport system of residence of persons without identity documents, as well as the admission by citizens of living in the residential premises they occupy of persons without identity documents, without a temporary or permanent residence permit, or without taking into account at the place of stay – entails the imposition of a fine in the sum of five basic calculated values.

The same offense committed repeatedly within a year after the application of an administrative penalty – entails the imposition of a fine in the amount of ten basic calculated values.

A person under the age of eighteen is not subject to administrative liability for late receipt of a passport due to his attainment of sixteen years of age.

A foreign citizen and a stateless person permanently residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan under the age of eighteen are not subject to administrative liability for late receipt of a residence permit due to their reaching the age of sixteen.

Article 223¹. Unlawful use of passport

The use by citizens of their passports for selfish purposes, in respect of which they have filed applications for their loss, as well as passports belonging to other citizens, – entails the imposition of a fine in the amount of ten basic calculated values.
